Mackenzie Haverland, a New Teacher at Windthorst High School

Mackenzie Haverland

English Teacher & PALS Sponsor

Howdy! My name is Mackenzie Haverland. This is my first year at Windthorst, and I’m very excited to meet my new students! I will be teaching English I and III, and will be a 10th grade sponsor and PALS sponsor, as well as a UIL academic coach.

Aside from school, I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time with my family. My husband, Kyle, and I both went to Texas A&M, and we love going to football games and being part of the 12th Man whenever we can. We are very excited to be in Windthorst and be a part of the Trojan family!

Juan Cavazos
Juan Cavazos

Spanish Teacher & Coach

I am starting my 12th year as a Teacher/coach. I graduated from Texas Tech University in 2008. I am coming from Electra HS where I served as the Spanish teach/asst football/Head baseball coach. I was previously at Everman High School in Fort Worth where I also taught Spanish and coached football and baseball. We have 2 kids. Hayden is 11 and going to 5th grade and Hanley is 7 and going to 2nd grade. We enjoy watching our kids play sports. Hayden plays football, basketball and baseball and Hanley plays basketball and softball. We are very excited to be a part of the Windthorst Trojans Family!

Taylor Baggett

Taylor Baggett

English Teacher

Taylor Baggett is a graduate from Midwestern State University. Upon graduating, Taylor moved abroad to teach 6th and 7th grade British English, then continued her career at Odessa High School in Odessa, Texas. Taylor has a dog named Winnie and several precious nieces and nephews. In her spare time, Taylor loves to spend time with family and friends, travel, read, and occasionally binge watch the newest Netflix show. Taylor is extremely ecstatic to work at such a welcoming school, and can’t wait to help her students meet their full potential. Go Trojans!
